trailers - make it rain

The third of Mortal Kombat's four announced downloadable characters, Rain is scheduled for release on Tuesday, July 19th through Xbox Live and Playstation Network.

impressions - skarlet DLC

Mortal Kombat's first DLC character was released today. 'Skarlet' is an all new character to the series, though originally thought to have been a hidden character in Mortal Kombat II because of a glitch in the game that colored one of the female ninjas red.

Story-wise, Skarlet is a creation of Shao Kahn. A warrior created from the blood of his enemies, fused together by sorcery. Skarlet draws power and strength from the blood of her defeated enemies. Skarlet is a blood ninja, and it definitely shows.
