Although not yet officially confirmed, there are speculations that EA Tiburon is hard at work on a new NFL Blitz title. I would say this is most likely true. EA Tiburon has tried arcade-style football in the past, from modes in it's Madden franchise and with the PSN and XBLA release of Madden NFL Arcade. And after releasing NBA Jam with pretty good success and mostly positive reviews, it would only make sense for EA to start milking away at other classics. Especially when Mark Turmell, an ex-Blitz creator, works for them!
But I guess the real question is "would you care?" I know I would. After the abominations that were Blitz: The League, I would love some old school, penalty-less football. EA did an amazing job with NBA Jam, so this would be worth a shot. Just keep in the x-rays from Blitz: The League and get rid of the drugs and stupid story. You could have something here EA.
